A question for the reviewer

Which deposit
does this belong to?

A record can be present in the register while its connection to the bank deposit is still missing.

Why this gap matters

For federal candidate committees, FEC guidance calls for enough information to associate a contribution with its deposit. A batch reference is one example. Check your own authority’s rules for the records you keep.

Before you submit

The report has to reach

An export is a file. A filing is a submission to the responsible authority. Keep the official confirmation with the submitted version.
